WBA SCHOOLS
From frontline personnel to senior executives, WBA and its partners provide a wide range of schools to help bankers advance and succeed. The schools are taught by professional instructors and bank executives and offer students an in-depth learning opportunity in a dynamic learning environment.

Advanced Commercial Lending Academy
This three-day academy, taught by John Barrickman, consists of five intensive sessions: Advanced Cash Flow and Advanced Loan Structure; Predicting Portfolio Credit Quality; Nine Steps to Better Loan Pricing; New Approaches to Problem Loan Management; and Best Practices in Credit Risk Management

Advanced Branch Managers School
The Advanced Branch Managers School is designed to provide participants a solid foundation in managing branches better and producing greater results. The target audience for this school consists of branch or department managers with a minimum of five years experience. The school is held two days per quarter for one year.

Bank Secrecy Act School
This in-depth three day program provides an opportunity for peer exchange and interactive discussion with experienced faculty. Attendees can expect to receive background, regulatory requirements and guidance on BSA and AML matters; tips on developing and refining management skills to deal with AML challenges; and the perspective, skill-set, tools and understanding to help deal with BSA issues.

Northwest Bank Directors College
This program enhances both outside and inside directors' understanding of their responsibilities to their financial institutions and is co-sponsored by the Division of Finance and Corporate Securities, and the Oregon and Washington Bankers Associations. The Northwest Bank Directors College takes place one day each month over the course of six months.

Northwest Bank Operations School
This school takes place one day per month for eight months. The school provides insight into stronger management skills, an understanding of the inter-relatedness of key operation areas and how they contribute to a bank's profitability and increased awareness of the regulatory and competitive factors that affect banking today. The target audience for this school is operation supervisors with up to three years of experience.

Northwest Compliance School
This five-day program includes two days learning about loan compliance and three days covering deposit compliance. Topics cover a wide range of regulations including CRA, Equal Credit, RESPA, Red D, EFT, Truth in Savings, and Tax Payer ID issues. The school is geared toward the new compliance professional and to those who need a refresher. Auditors also find this school very helpful.

PACIFIC COAST BANKING SCHOOL (PCBS)
Since 1938, the Pacific Coast Banking School, in partnership with the University of Washington Graduate School of Business, has helped over 10,000 bankers rise above the rest. Hundreds of these PCBS graduates are currently serving as CEOs of financial institutions and in key leadership roles across the country. PCBS offers a three-year graduate level program of leadership and financial management education focused on the financial services industry. Sessions are held the last two weeks of August over three years and include inter-session extension work.
